Pasta for dinner

Still do not want to eat any rice after two and a half weeks of avoiding it. So, it's pasta again for dinner.

From top to bottom: Spaghetti with asparagus and onions in tomato sauce, soya milk, and peanut glutinous rice balls.

Hong Kong (26-29 Nov 2010) - Part 2

Arrived at Hong Kong international airport at around noon
and bought the Three international roaming SIM card o use in HK.
It's only HKD 98. Data usage is charged HKD 2 per MB and capped at
HKD 28 per day. Inserted the new SIM card right away at the airport
and took the airport shuttle bus A41 to my hotel at Shatin.

P/S: I used the iPhone app called Trip Journal to logged the places
visited. :)

A friend said this biscuit is very nice so I went to try. But really disgusting. It's really salty.

JCo donuts

Really tasty!!! And so soft!!!

Breakfast and lunch

At foodcourt in T3 and inflight meal. Didn't take any photos during return trip.

Domino's pizza

The pizza was just ok. The garlic cheese fried onion rings were actually fried onion rings sprinkled with cheese and garlic powder.

Only that fluffy garlic bread (on the left) was good. Prices are more expensive than Pizza Hut as well.

Food in HK (part 2)

Instant noodles with two fried eggs.

Mmmmmm.. this French toast is heavenly! We poured lots of syrup on it.. haha..

Mango dessert with black glutinous rice and coconut cream.. I felt that the flavor are too contrasting.

Mango dessert with glutinous rice balls and mango ice cream. Nice but would have been nicer if only I ate in in SG and not during winter in HK.

Peach pudding with flowing milk cream. But the cream didn't flow at all and the pudding is too bland.

Stir fried veggies with garlic.. for my dinner with rice.

Another stir fried veggies but this one is with fermented beancurd.

Food in HK (part 1)

Bread... some with raisins and some with choc chips. Soft and warm! Ah....

Vegetarian lasagne... too much tomato paste... too salty.. but love the generous serving of cheese :)

Stir fried vegetables with garlic and butter.. Quite nice..

Fried mochi with cheese filling! This is really good! :P~~~

French toast is quite good but the other toast has too little condensed milk.

Vegetable Thai green curry... very spicy!!

Yummy noodles... :) Forgotten the name but the noodles are crispy type.

Polo bun and yun yong! :P~~~

Reviewing year 2009 resolutions..

Year 2010 will be here in one and a half months' time. Let's see what I have and have not achieved so far...

1. Continue to eat healthily – less junk, more fruits & veggies
- (I would say maybe 60% of the time)

2. Cook my own food – unless it is a special occasion
- (maybe about 60% of the time)

3. Learn to bake – cookies, cakes, pastry and bread
- (ah, this would be around 40%)

4. Pass JLPT L3 – study according to plan
- (did not study according to plan most of the time which means I am still far away from my goal... 0%)

5. Pass CFA L1 – study according to plan
- (did not study according to plan but managed to pass so would be 100%)

6. Sleep early – before 12am
- maybe about 40%

7. Work hard at work – no surfing internet unnecessarily

8. Go to the gym at least thrice weekly – maintain weight between 50-55kg
- 99% (did overshoot to 56kg at some point in around Sept)

9. Spend thriftily and do not exceed budget

10. ENJOY EVERYTHING I DO EVERYDAY! Hahaha… this part is the easiest to achieve
- Not everyday.. :(

Pizza Hut

Mushroom baked pasta and Trio cheese pizza.

Big Apple Donuts

Soft and sweet donuts! (spot the durian donut :P~~~)

The Ship

Went there to celebrate a friend's brithday. The food is quite salty (even for someone who prefer strong tasty food like me).
